~ As I'm edging up closer to the release day of my novel "In The Dark", my excitement level is really building. I've received a huge outpouring of support from my family and friends, and I am probably driving everyone crazy with the all of the "Thank You's" I've been throwing out (although I'm quite sincere with each and every one of them).
Writing this book has been such a great learning experience for me. From the actual writing itself, to the formatting, the editing, marketing, branding, business, etc. I really have learned a lot, and I expect that my education in writing will be perpetual.
Nevertheless, as it relates to my first book, I am starting to see the finish line. The light at the end of the tunnel.
That almost sounds like the journey has been rough, so let me clarify: It hasn't. It has required a lot of my time and my energy. It's taken a lot of work. It has also required some of my money (and it will take some more of it to get things rolling at full speed). But it certainly hasn't been rough.
It has actually been amazing, and I can't wait to get this book in everyone's hands. I'm thrilled to hear what you think.
Over the course of the next month, you'll hear more noise from me about "In The Dark", It'll be up for sale here on danielfoxbooks.com, and also on Amazon.I'm preparing to send out a small handful of Advanced Reader copies to a select group of blogger/reviewers. (I'm learning about "Book Reveals" and all of the steps involved in that process too). Once reviews start coming in, they'll be posted here and on Amazon. I've got my fingers crossed for good ones, but I have to admit, after the last round of edits, I feel more confident than ever. So far, feedback has been fantastic, and I'm ecstatic that people are really enjoying this story.Until next week, happy reading!
